Halcyon 6 Lightspeed Edition is currently free on the Epic Games Store

Halcyon 6 Lightspeed Edition will be available for free on the Epic Games Store for the next week, offering PC gamers an excellent space strategy title for Windows. 

Strangely, while Halcyon 6 is available for both Windows and macOS on Steam, the game’s Epic Games Store version is only available on Windows OS’. The Epic Games Store does not officially support Linux, which means that the storefront offers no Linux compatible games. 

Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition is a space strategy title which includes FTL-like gameplay, both ground-based and ship-to-ship space-based combat and in-depth crew and ship upgrade systems. Players must take control of and rebuild the Halcyon 6 space station, using it as a position to top an alien invasion of Earth. 

Next week, Epic Games will be giving away free copies of Absolute Drift: Zen Edition and Rage 2 for free to PC gamers. Halcyon 6 will be available for free until February 18th on the Epic Games Store.
