 Google Chrome finally becomes 64-bit

The latest version of Google's Chrome browser now supports 64-bit if you so choose to install that version of the browser.

The ability to address even more memory is not the only benefit to this new version has, it is also optimized for the VP9 codec used for Youtube HD which The Inquirer was told now processes 15% faster, with The Inquirer agreeing that it felt generally faster than older versions of the browser when surfing the net.

The new version should also offer improved protection from memory layout vulnerabilities so it is worth using on your 64 bit machine over previous versions.

Google Chrome finally becomes 64-bit

A Google Software Engineer had this to say;

"64-bit Chrome offers many benefits for speed, stability and security,"

 "Our measurements have shown that the native 64-bit version of Chrome has improved speed on many of our graphics and media benchmarks."

I personally look forward to using this new version of the browser, as I for one enjoy keeping an insane amount of tabs open on my dual monitor setup. This version should increase my system performance in this scenario.
