Godfall has been revealed as a PlayStation 5/PC exclusive

At The Game Awards 2019, Gearbox Publishing has announced Godfall, a “looter slasher” game from Counterplay, the studio behind Duelyst. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and the Epic Games Store on PC, though the game is said to be coming to other PC storefronts at a later date. 

Godfall will be a launch title for SOny’s PlayStation 5 console, giving the game a release date within the Holiday 2020 timeframe. The game is a third-person melee combat game where players will fight enemies, and gather increasingly powerful enemies as a solo player or in 2-3 player co-op. Think Borderlands with Swords, hammers and other melee weapons. 

This is likely to be one of many PC/PlayStation 5 exclusives to be revealed at The Game Awards 2019. Let’s hope we see some larger PlayStation franchises make their way to PC in the near future.
