Former PlayStation Exclusive "Journey" will arrive on PC next week

In the official PlayStation Magazine (UK), Journey was listed as the 5th best PS3 game, with the title receiving seemingly universal praise from critics, quickly becoming the fastest selling game on the PlayStation Store to date, at the time of its release in 2012.

In 2015, Journey was re-released on PlayStation 4, offering players a higher resolution experience with higher framerates and boosted texture quality. Now, Journey is coming to PC, breaking the title's console exclusivity to bring the game to a much wider audience. The release date is now set for June 6th.

The PC version of Journey comes via Annapurna Interactive, who are publishing the game for ThatGameCompany, Journey's original developer. At this time it is unknown whether or not the PC version of the game will offer any new graphical features or offer PC staples like support for an unlocked framerate.

Journey will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC, coming as one of many former PlayStation exclusives to the platform, with 2019 also bringing Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human into the fold. Right now the game can be pre-ordered for £4.99 in the UK, thanks to the £10 discount that Epic Games is currently offering as part of their first summer sale.

Journey will release on PC on June 6th. At this time the game has no PC system requirements listed.

The game was actually quite good for an indie game. Simple yet still enjoyable. Good to pass a few hoursQuote
