EA plans to give away Battlefield 1's Premium Pass for free for a limited time

EA and DICE have announced that Battlefield 1's premium Pass will be available for free between September 11th and 18th on all platforms, PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Battlefield 1's premium pass includes all of Battlefield 1's expansions, which includes They Shall Not Pass, In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides and Apocalypse, adding sixteen maps, new operations and elite classes to the game. New weapons and vehicles are also included with the game's premium pass.

This limited time offer will allow owners of Battlefield 1's base game to access all of the title's post-launch content, which EA hopes will wet the community's appetite for Battlefield V, which will release this November. PlayStation and Xbox players require PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold respectively to access this offer.

This Battlefield 1 free content offer will become available immediately after Battlefield V's Open Beta closes. Battlefield V's Open Beta starts on September 4th for early access users and September 6th for everyone. The Open beta will close on September 11th at 4 PM CET.

It's nice they do this after the end of the game cycle. They did similar stuff for BF4Quote

Cool. I had the option to buy the base game for around £5 or the complete package for £10 a few weeks ago. Being a single player focused gamer I opted to save the money; turns out I'll get all the DLC anyway.

It worked out similar with Battlefield 4 too. I wish more companies would start doing this kind of thing. I know EA has never had a stellar reputation, and keep doing stupid things (Anthem's demo is behind a paywall?) but every now again they do something good and that should be given credit.Quote
