Developer confirms that Scorn's Xbox Series X trailer ran on a PC with an RTX 2080 Ti

In a recent interview with WCCFTech, Ebb Software discussed both the PC and console versions of Scorn in great detail, confirming that the game's Xbox Series X trailer was running on a PC with an RTX 2080 Ti.

Within this interview, Scorn's game director, Ljubomir Peklar, noted that the game is designed to run at 60 FPS on PC and next-generation consoles, finding the responsiveness important for both sets of hardware. Furthermore, the developer found that at 30 FPS that "you start losing the established details once the camera starts moving." This loss of detail at 30 FPS highlights a phenomenon called Temporal resolution, as high framerate games deliver more temporal detail over time by showing players more frames in a second, increasing in-game sharpness and motion clarity.

In the same interview, Peklar noted that the game could run at 4K 60FPS with an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super with the right graphical settings. The Xbox Series X trailer was also confirmed to be running on a Ryzen processor, similar to what the Xbox Series X will utilise.

Scorn's Xbox Series X trailer showcased incredibly impressive visuals for the console, even if it was running on a similarly spec'd PC. At this time it is unknown how the RDNA 2 powered graphics card of the Xbox Series X compared to current PC hardware, though many have compared it to Nvidia's RTX 2080 Super.

It looks like Microsoft are again doing everything they can to sabotage the launch of a new console.

"Oh look at this gameplay", it's a pre-rendered trailer.
"Now look at Scorn", it's running on a VERY high-end PC.
I wonder if they'll be tempted to add DRM, sorry, TRY to add DRM this time.

While Sony and Epic show off what they can do. I'm hoping this week we'll at least see some actual gameplay and backwards compatability details from Sony.Quote

2070S is hardly disingenuous, considering it's going to be an 8/16 x86 platform with an equivalently powerful Navi chip.Quote

I've been looking forward to Scorn for quite a few years now, Hopefully the PC release isn't far behind the XBSX release.Quote

Just like many other reveal gameplays for console games. They usually develop an early build on PC. Do you think that that Breath of the Wild first gameplay was running on Wii U?Quote
