SSD prices have started to rise, thanks to increasing supply and the inability of NAND manufacturers to keep up. Thanks to growing notebooks sales, increased consumer, and enterprise, SSD adoption and the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X’s use of high-performance NVMe-based SSDs all have made the global demand for NAND to rise and for pricing to follow suit.

Thankfully, there are still a lot of good deals to be had online, and today we will be looking at one from Crucial. That’s right, this drive comes directly from Crucial, a factor which should make returns or RMA’s a lot easier.

Right now, Crucial’s 1TB P1 Series SSD is available for £95.99 in the UK, offering users read speeds of up to 2000 MBps read speeds and write speeds of up to 1700 MBps. That’s a lot of performance given the fact that this drive is cheaper than most SATA-base 1TB drives right now.

Note that this SSD is based on QLC NAND, a factor which doesn’t pair well with extended write workloads. That said, if you don’t plan to write hundreds of gigabytes to this SSD at its top speeds, you shouldn’t have any performance problems. Inside this SSD, Crucial is using Micron QLC NAND alongside a “unique SLC cache implementation” to deliver “unwavering performance” using a technique called “hybrid-dynamic write acceleration”.

Crucial’s website currently offers SSD purchasers free delivery on its SSDs, making this £95.99 deal incredible for value-conscious purchasers. You can purchase Crucial’s P1 SSD here.
