Right now, both Company of Heroes 2 and its Ardennes Assault DLC are currently available for free on Steam, giving PC gamers access to two excellent singleplayer RTS campaigns and access to the game’s popular multiplayer mode. At the time of writing, Company of Heroes 2 has over 4,000 players on Steam. That’s not bad for a game that’s almost eight years old.Â
Now is a great time to play Company of Heroes 2, as earlier this year, Relic Entertainment released a 64-bit patch for the game, boosting the game’s performance while adding stability fixes. Company of Heroes 2 now runs better than ever, and on the latest graphics hardware, high-resolution gameplay at maxed-out settings is very doable on the latest GPUs.Â
Company of Heroes 2 is available on Windows PC, macOS and Linux, with the macOS version supporting the low-level Metal API. This means that the macOS version of the game is supported by the latest versions of macOS, which broke compatibility with older 32-bit applications.Â
