Code Vein is set to release on PC after consoles this September

Bandai Namco revealed Code Vein back in May 2017, showcasing an action-RPG which follows a similar vein to Dark Souls while offering an Anime aesthetic.

The game is now set to release this September on all platforms, with the console versions of the game releasing on September 27th while the game's Steam/PC version will release a day later on September 28th. At this time it is unknown why Code Vein's PC version will release a day after the title's console release.

Much like Dark Souls, Code Vein will offer co-op play, allowing players to summon online players to fight alongside them. Gameplay-wise Code Vein appears to be faster paced than Dark SOuls and slightly slower than Bloodborne.

In Code Vein, humanity is on the brink of extinction thanks to a mysterious destructive force. At the center of the disaster lies a hidden human society called Vein. Here all of the humans have made a deal to become revenants, exchanging their memories for the powers needed to survive and gaining a vampiric thirst for blood.

Code Vein will release around the same time as Spiderman on the PS4, Shadow of the Tomb Raider on all (except Switch) platforms, giving the game a lot of AAA competition to contend with. Does Code Vein have what it takes to stand out at the peak of the game release season?
