Later this year, The Farm 51 plans to release a game called Chernobylite, a science-fiction survival horror game which is being created using an "accurate 3D-scanned recreation of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone".

Since the game's announcement, Chernobylite has garnered a lot of interest from the gaming community, leaving the game's developers eager to expand their project and deliver a larger game world that covers more areas within the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

In this game, players can ally or compete with other stalkers to survive within the exclusion zone, with the decision making of players impacting how and if your companions will survive. This is a single-player game, with a non-linear story, where players, as an ex-employee of the Chernobyl power plant investigates the disappearance of their lover.

The game is based on Unreal Engine 4 and makes extensive use of photogrammetry to deliver a realistic representation of real-world items and locations, though as a STALKER-inspired survival horror title, you can guess that gamers will also see a lot of horrifying creatures and unreal happenings within the game.

The Far 51 plans to raise $100,000 to expand their project, with the Kickstarter acting as a way to pre-order the game. Right now, Chernobylite is set to release on Steam in November, at least according to the game's "estimated delivery" date on Kickstarter. So far the game has raised over $24,000.

Earlier this year, The Farm 51 released the following PC system requirements for Chernobylite, though these system requirements may be subject to change.
