CD Projekt Red releases their first Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay video

CD Project Red has finally released Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay into the public domain, showcasing the title's character customisation options, combat and an in-depth look at the game's systems and setting, Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person RPG, which is set in a singular open world that is designed to be traversable without any loading screens, with the demo showcasing large crowds of detailed NPCs, showcasing a level of graphical fidelity that moves far beyond what is available in The Witcher 3. The game world can be explored on foot and in vehicles like cars and motorcycles.

This demo is a "work in progress" and "does not represent the final look of the product", with several LOD shifts and other graphical issues being present within the Gamescom demo. These issues will likely be ironed out before launch, though at this time it is unknown how much the game's visuals will change before launch, especially on console hardware.

Be warned, the video below contains nudity. The video below showcases 48 minutes of gameplay.

Loved this. If the final release comes anywhere close to this and what it's promising it'll be an instant classic. Can't wait to see how it all turns out, this could be as close to my "perfect game" as we'll ever get.Quote

Looks outstanding. Although the driving experience looks like it needs alot of work. Also when they are going for polish, I did notice one thing.

When the van overtook the car and the rear doors open before the firing began... looked to me like there was no animation on the door opening. It just flipped open like a logic switch. Would have been nice to see them swing. It's those minor details that make the game.Quote

I watched this about an hour ago, it's actually blown my mind with how intricate and detailed this is. I can't imagine how they worked out proper crowd simulations on an RPG. Just mind blowing.

I hope it comes out next year, giving themselves as much time as they need to polish the game. I would wait for this even if it was another year added to that.Quote
