Capcom reveals Project Resistance, a team-based shooter on the RE Engine

Capcom has released a trailer for a new game called Project Resistance, a new game within the Resident Evil series. Project Resistance appears to be a new team-based action game that’s similar in some ways to World War Z and the Left 4 Dead series, albeit with a Resident Evil Twist.

The game will likely use the same game engine as Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2’s recent remake. Graphically, Capcom’s teaser looks very similar to Resident Evil 2’s remake, which makes sense given the fact that these games are likely to share assets and enemy designs.

In a recent Tweet, Capcom has stated that Project Resistance will be a “brand-new team-based survival horror experience”, though the company is leaving the game’s full announcement to TGS (Tokyo Game Show) 2019.

Project Resistance will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam). Expect to hear more later this week, as TGS will take place between September 12th and 15th.
