Borderlands 2 VR receives a PC release date and will ship with free BAMF DLC

Gearbox Software and 2K Games have announced that Borderlands 2 VR will be releasing on PC on October 22nd on Steam. This move will bring the former PSVR exclusive to PC alongside the game’s free “BAMF” DLC pack.

Borderlands 2 VR’s BAMF DLC Pack includes two new vault hunter classes (Gaige the Mechromancer and Krieg the Psycho), four campaigns and a total of 16 pieces of DLC content from Borderlands 2. This significantly increases the amount of content that Borderlands 2 VR includes. Better still is the fact that this collection of DLC is available for free on both PC and PSVR. The four campaigns included in this DLC pack are Captain Scarlet and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.

Borderlands 2 VR will support both the HTC Vive (SteamVR) and Oculus Rift headsets, with controls for both gamepads and tract motion controllers being available. Sadly, Gearbox has not announced the price of Borderlands 2 VR’s PC version and the game lacks official PC system requirements.
