Black Desert: Remastered releases next week - Huge graphical and audio overhaul planned

Pearl Abyss, the developers of Black Desert Online, has announced that the MMO will be updated on August 22nd to become Black Desert: Remastered, reworking the game's visuals and audio to take MMO graphics to the next level. 

For starters, 60 voice actors have re-recorded the audio of 130 NPCs, over 100 new songs have been added to the title including over 300 minutes of full orchestral music. These changes are designed to increase immersion and realism. 

On the graphics side, the game will be updated to include physically based rendering, lighting and atmospheric scattering alongside HDR support, improves screen-space reflections and a range of graphical optimisations. Below is a list of all of the game's planned graphical changes.

- HDR rendering
- Improved post-processing with YEBIS
- Improved screen space reflection
- Improved ambient occlusion
- Improved ocean rendering
- Cloth simulation
- Optimization


Alongside these changes, Pearl Abyss announced upcoming content updates that include the addition of a new male ranger class, a new region called Ordelita and alterations to the game's early-game levelling experience. These changes will not release with Black Desert Online's Remastered update.
   

 

Gamers who play Black Desert Online between August 22nd and August 29th will receive a free Tier 7 horse and a limited edition Golden Lahr Arcien horse Armour set. More information about Black Desert Online: Remastered is available here
