In a recent interview with everyeye.it, an Italian gaming website, Ubisoft’s Guillaume Brunier, discussed Beyond Good & Evil 2, a prequel to the 2003 original which is being directed by series director Michel Ancel.

During this interview, Brunier confirmed that Ubisoft planned to showcase a new gameplay demo of Beyond Good & Evil 2 on December 10th. Originally, this stream was supposed to take place in November, with the delay giving the developers more time to polish their demo.

BGEFest (Beyond Good & Evil Fest), which was announced at E3 2018, has also been postponed to 2019, again, giving the game’s developers more time to work on the title. At this time Beyond Good and Evil 2 has no release date, though Ubisoft has claimed that a playable beta version of the game will be released before the end of 2019.

Journey to System 3, for the prequel to one of Ubisoft’s most beloved games! Fight alongside unforgettable characters in a stunning new solar system, as you struggle for freedom and the right to determine your own fate among the stars. Play the adventure by yourself or with friends in a vast and seamless online playground.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 is the spiritual successor to the cult classic, a prequel that will transport players into a profoundly multicultural world, capturing the spirit of the original with grandiose decors and intense dramas that play out across a vast universe. Through the Space Monkey Program, Ubisoft Montpellier will be developing the game alongside its community of fans.

So far, we have seen little from Beyond Good and Evil 2 outside of tech demo-like gameplay and cinematic trailers, giving players very little to go on outside of the game’s hype.
