Battle for Azeroth becomes World of Warcraft's fastest selling expansion to date

Wow is dead, right? Wrong, with the game's latest expansion, Battle for Azeroth, proving to be the game's most popular expansion to date, selling over 3.4 million copies on day one, surpassing the initial sales of all previous content packs.
In a press release, Blizzard stated that this is just the beginning, as plenty of new game content will be coming to World of Warcraft in the coming months, including Warfronts, the first of which will be a 20-player co-op battle for Stormgarde in the Arathi Highlands. On September 4th, the expansion will also receive its first raid, Uldir, as well as the game's first PvP season and Dungeons.

Battle for Azeroth comes after the success of the game's Legion expansion, which successfully brought back a large number of both old and new players to the series, revitalising the world's most popular MMO. Battle for Azeroth builds upon this success by bringing back the faction war, while also focusing on areas that are deep within the series lore, stemming back to the events of the original Warcraft series of RTS games.

Really liking it so far, though that happens every expansion. I hope they can keep pushing new content through the expansion unlike during every single expansion post TBC. :P

They got a lot of things right this time around though, the most major screw-up is monsters scaling to your item level. I'm already at a point where my World Quest mobs have the same health pool as mobs in normal dungeons lol.Quote

People are actually removing items to make their ilvl drop so the monsters are easier to kill. ilvl scaling is rather stupid.Quote

TBH it's a copy paste of legion with less to do, not really an alt friendly xpac either considering you need to do all 3 areas to open the story, and warfronts so many of the beta testers said they will get boring quick and then your left with island expeditions and SO MANY WORLD QUESTSQuote

I like it so far, but it still has a lot to prove for it to be better than Legion.

They still haven't sorted out scaling. It goes both ways. You are overpowered one patch, then underpowered next.

I really think they should stop dumbing down the game. It is too easy. I know I can't expect Witcher 3, but it really needs some flavour.Quote
