Assassin's Creed is getting an Anime TV series

Back in March the head of content for Assassin's Creed, Aymar Azaizia, revealed that Assassin's Creed would be getting a TV adaptation, though at the time the setting and visual style of the show were unknown.

It has now been revealed that Adi Shankar, the creator who developed an anime show based on Castlevania, will be working with Ubisoft to create a new series for Assassin's Creed, though it is unknown whether or not this show will be exclusive to an online streaming platform like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.

Below is Adi Shankar's full statement on this new series, revealing very little about the show itself.

I'm happy to let you guys know that I've selected my next project! I played the first edition of Assassin's Creed the year I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream. At that moment I knew absolutely no one in the industry and could never have imagined that one day Ubisoft would ask me to take the world of Assassin's Creed and create an original story set in it as an anime series. If anyone tells you not to follow your passion in life they are wrong.

Shankar's Castlevania series will be released on Netflix on July 7th, with a trailer for the show being available to view below.
