ABZU is currently available for free on PC

For the next week, Giant Squad Games’ ABZU is available for free on PC, giving Windows gamers access to one of 2016’s most beautiful titles. At launch, the game frequently received high review scores and was nominated for several awards for its artistic direction and visual design.

ABZU places players within a vast ocean, as a diver who must explore the world and uncover the mysteries behind a slew of ancient technologies and submerged ruins. As the game progresses, players will unlock new areas to explore and the secrets of the game’s underwater environment. Throughout the game, players are expected to solve puzzles and interact with the world to progress.

This free game offer comes via the Epic Games Store, who plans to offer Windows gamers the chance to redeem a copy of the game until September 12th. After this free offer period ends, Epic Games plans to offer PC gamers free copies of Conarium. Alongside ABZU, The End is Nigh is also available for free via the Epic Games Store.

From the art director of Journey and Flower, ABZÛ is a beautiful underwater adventure that evokes the dream of diving.

Immerse yourself in a vibrant ocean world full of mystery and bursting with color and life. Perform fluid acrobatics as the Diver using graceful swimming controls. Discover hundreds of unique species based on real creatures and form a powerful connection with the abundant sea life. Interact with schools of thousands of fish that procedurally respond to you, each other, and predators. Linger in epic seascapes and explore aquatic ecosystems modeled with unprecedented detail. Descend into the heart of the ocean where ancient secrets lie forgotten. But beware, dangers lurk in the depths. “ABZÛ” is from the oldest mythologies; AB, meaning water, and ZÛ, meaning to know. ABZÛ is the ocean of wisdom.

PC gamers can redeem their free copy of ABZU on the Epic Games Store.
