Ryse: Son of Rome coming to PC!

XBOX Exclusive?

Ryse: Son of Rome coming to PC!

Another Xbox One exclusive is coming to PC

The Xbox One launched last fall with Crytek's Ryse: Son of Rome, a third person action game intended to be the first visual showcase of the next, now current, generation of console hardware. Now approaching a year after the games original launch Crytek with Co-publishing with Deep Silver, who recently took over development of Homefront 2, will be bringing this game to PC.

This makes Ryse: Son of Rome the second Xbox One launch title and former exclusive to be brought to PC, the first being Dead Rising 3, developed by Capcom. This does not mean that all exclusives will see a later release on PC (Sorry Halo Fans), but it does suggest that it is relatively easy to port these titles over, which is due in part to the similarity in modern PC and console hardware architectures.

As for the Ryse PC port itself, it will include the original game and all downloadable extras from the console release. The PC version will of-course support higher resolutions; 4K, 1440p etc according to a press release quote from Crytek director of business of development Carl Jones.

This is actually good to see, I say that as this means we will hopefully get more ports from the new consoles and because architecture wise they are close to PC's, So they should perform well Quote
