NieR Automata Ver1.1a has recieved its first trailer

Back in February, Square Enix and Aniplex announced that they were producing an Anime adaptation of 2017's NieR Automata, which would be developed and animated by A-1 pictures, the studio behind Sword Art Online, The Seven Deadly Sins, Your Lie in April, and Black Butler.

NieR Automata's Anime adaptation will be called NieR Automata Ver1.1a, and is due to air in January 2023. This week, the first trailer for the anime was releases, showcasing scene-for-scene recreations of some of the game's biggest moments. The trailer only highlights sections of NeiR Automata's early game, so don't expect any major spoilers from the trailer below.

NieR Automata is an excellent game that has a strong fandom, with the game accumulating over 7 million total sales following the game's release on Nintendo's Switch console. Let's hope that this new anime can live up to the game that inspired it, and that the animation shown in this trailer is indicative of what we can expect for the series as a whole.
