At CES 2020, HyperX has showcased a number of mobile-focused gaming products that are sure to be of interest to those who desire more comfort and increased battery life from their gaming devices.

Starting with Nintendo's Switch console, we have HyperX's new ChargePlay Clutch, a charging case that doubles as detachable joy-con grips for the device.

For starters, the ChargePlay Clutch offers users 6,000 mAh of extra battery life for attached Switch consoles. Add to this an enhanced, more durable, kickstand, and we can see a lot more Switch users enjoying their console's mobile features. The ChargePlay also features an LED battery indicator, which will allow gamers to know when their ChargePlay needs some extra juice.

Nintendo's Switch contains a 4,310 mAh battery, which means that HyperX's Clutch will deliver gamers almost 140% more battery life from their console, which is a big deal for mobile gamers.

The Joy-Con gips on HyperX's ChargePlay can be removed and brought together to create a singular gamepad, a feature that compliments the ChargePlay's enhanced kickstand during mobile gaming sessions.

HyperX plans to release its ChargePlay Clutch in January for $59.99 for Nintendo Switch.

In addition to Nintendo's Switch version, HyperX also plans to bring its ChargePlay to mobile phones, offering users a 3,000 mAh battery, which supports Qi wireless charging, and a textured grip to make your mobile phone feel more like a gamepad.

Unfortunately, the HyperX ChargePlay is not a full-on gamepad, for mobile phones, which makes this product inferior to a proper wireless controller. That said, if you are playing normal mobile games, this shouldn't be an issue. Just be aware that this won't be an ideal product for using services like Microsoft's project xCloud on mobile phones.

Like the Switch version, the HyperX ChargePlay Clutch for mobile will release for $59.99, though its release will come later, during Q2 2020.
