Corsair brings RGB outside of your PC with their iCUE LT100 Smart Lighting Towers

For the past few years, Corsair has been on a mission to RGBify everything, from cases to fans, DRAM, liquid coolers and even mousemats. Now, Corsair has seemingly added RGB to everything in its product stack, but that won't stop them from adding RGB to even more of its product line. That's right; Corsair has invented an entirely new product to RGB!

Meet Corsair's iCUE LT100 Smart Lighting Towers, a new product which can be used to add RGB lighting to almost anywhere. Through iCUE, users of these lighting towers can add lighting that synchronises with the content on their monitors, the beat of their music or the lighting of your other iCUE components.

When used with monitors, Corsair can allow their LT100 lighting towers to provide a glow that matches on-screen content, giving users an effect that's similar to Philips' Ambiglow technology, providing more emersion by adding diffused lighting around the edge of your monitors which matches the games or software that you are currently using.

Each of Corsair's LT100 Lighting Towers stands 422mm tall and contains 46 RGB LEDs. Each stand can also be configured to face forward to face backwards, providing wall illumination or direct forward illumination depending on the user's preference. Corsair also provides an attachment with these stands to allow them to also act as a headset stand.

Corsair's iCUE software can support up to four of these stands, allowing users to light their setups with 184 additional RGB LEDs.

Extend your PC’s RGB lighting with the CORSAIR iCUE LT100 Smart Lighting Towers Starter Kit, part of the iCUE Smart Lighting Ecosystem. 92 RGB LEDs light up your room with ambient lighting that dynamically integrates with your games and media for a truly immersive experience. Cycle through 11 lighting profiles out of the box with push-button control, or connect to CORSAIR iCUE software to synchronize your RGB lighting effects across all compatible CORSAIR devices in your system and all external iCUE Smart Lighting devices. The Starter Kit includes two lighting towers with 46 customizable LEDs each, housed in light-diffusing casing that softens and blends light. With an included removable headset holder, LT100 Smart Lighting Towers add convenient, versatile, and stunning RGB lighting to any setup.

Corsair's iCUE LT100 is now available and has been listed with a price tag of $129.99 in the US.

The PC market has always had its show-offs. Companies are just marketing to these people more and more. Plenty of people want an awesome gaming den or man cave.

I'd never recommended these to anyone, but if you like the look of them and can afford them, why not?Quote
