G.Skill Launches Trident Z Royal series DDR4 RGB Memory Kits

G.Skill has long been known as one of the world's top-tier memory manufacturers, frequently releasing some of the fastest kits on the market while also acting as DRAM producer behind most of the world's memory overclocking records, accolades that have given the brand a well-earned reputation.

Back at Computex, G.Skill shown us some of their prototype Trident Z Royal Edition DIMMs, featuring polished metal sides and a crystalline top section that beautifully diffuses the memory's included RGB LEDs. G.Skill has revealed that these premium DIMMs will soon be hitting the market, released in December with speeds that range from 3000MHz to 4600MHz and kit sizes that range from 2x8GB to 8x16GB.

Trident Z Royal series memory will release with silver or gold colour schemes and 8-zone RGB lighting, offering the perfect marriage of performance, aesthetics and RGB functionality, creating memory kits which is more than worthy of the Royal name. If the Queen were a PC enthusiast, I'd imagine that she would be excited to get these DIMMs in her system.

As we mentioned before, G.Skill's Trident Z Royal RGB modules feature a new 8-zone RGB lighting system, which can be controlled using G.Skill's soon-to-be-released RGB lighting software, which will be available from their website at the time of these DIMM's release. Each set of Royal series DIMMs will also be shipped with a microfibre cloth to clean fingerprints and dust off their premium memory modules easily.

G.Skill's Trident Z Royal RGB DIMMs will release in December 2018 through their global distribution network and partnered retailers.

Not sure who came up with the idea, but the gold would fit onto my Z87-Pro xD

It's quite nice in the silver/platinum but the gold ewww. It reminds me of a Persian restaurant.

Don't like the font used either. This is the sort of thing that will do well in Dubai etc.Quote

I actually LIKE the gold, LOL! At least it's a bit different. In the proper color-coordinated build, gold looks amazing.Quote

It's been done to death dude. I have seen loads of mods where people have gold plated components. I just don't like it, personally. The silver with no writing on I could deal with but the gold meh.

The only time I have ever seen it was on a build some guy did with an Aztec theme. It really did work (kinda reminded me of the pyramids). Other than that? yeah, I will pass thanks.Quote

That was Snef's Egyptian-themed build, and was the exact build I was thinking of when I said I like the gold. It has to be done RIGHT, and it's very easy to do it tacky and wrong.Quote
