PlayStation reveals the Backbone One, and officially licensed controller for iPhone

Sony and Backbone have released an ideal controller for PlayStation Remote Play

Backbone has teamed up with PlayStation to create a new version of their Backbone One gamepad for iPhone, the Backbone One PlayStation Edition, a new design that is inspired by Sony's DualSense wireless controller.

With the Backbone One PlayStation Edition controller, iPhone users will be able to enjoy PlayStation's remote play feature with an officially licensed gamepad design, giving users an excellent gaming experience on the go or at home.

Using the PlayStation Remote Play app, owners of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles will be able to stream their games over the internet to their iPhones. Additionally, this gamepad supports other game streaming services and other App Store games, offering mobile games an excellent gaming experience outside of the PlayStation ecosystem.

Sadly, Sony and Backbone have not revealed a PlayStation Edition Backbone One controller for Android that supports USB Type-C. That said, Backbone's standard Backbone One controller does have a USB Type-C/Android option. It may not be licensed, and it may have Xbox-style buttons, but it is effectively the same controller with a reskin.
