Mad Catz has returned from the grave with a new range of products

The last time we heard from Madcatz was when the company filed for bankruptcy in early 2017, leaving many to assume that the company was finished, forever moved into the annals of gaming history.

Mad Catz was not willing to let their three decades in the gaming industry go to waste, revealing plans to make their grand return to the market at CES 2018, showcasing a range of all-new products which include mice, keyboards, gaming surfaces and headsets.

The centrepiece of Mad Catz relaunch is undoubtedly their new R.A.T AIR, a new version of the brand's iconic gaming mouse that offers unparalleled levels of customisability while also supporting a unique wireless power system using the company's new gaming surface. The R.A.T AIR will also support wired functionality, with a replaceable USB cable to allow users to use aftermarket USB cables is they wish.

Alongside the R.A.T AIR, Mad Catz will be releasing their new S.T.R.I.K.E.4 gaming keyboard, a fully mechanical offering with an aluminium frame and RGB lighting. To compliment this Mad Catz will also be releasing their new F.R.E.Q.4 gaming headset, which uses 40mm neodymium drivers to offer a great audio experience.

Mad Catz Global will be showing off these new products at CES 2018 at invitation-only events, giving select people an opportunity to talk to the revived company and sample their latest wares.

Hmm... One part of me wants to love such news, the other part just wants to cry. Some things are better left buried. The R.A.T. MMO7 was stylish, but not very practical for me and way too expensive compared to its quality. Some peeps will hate me now, but I will stick to Logitech when it comes to peripherals.

Now I'm gonna look for Mad Catz reviews on OC3D, maybe Tom has had some experience with themQuote
