Corsair becomes Xbox One Hardware Partner with Gaming keyboards and Mice
With new hardware support comes new hardware partners, with Corsair confirming that they have become Microsoft's latest licensed hardware partner, opening up the Xbox One to support the company's wired and wireless keyboards and mice. This is great news for owners of Corsair's K63 Lapboard, a keyboard/mouse control system that is designed for couch gaming (Review here).
Thanks to this announcement, users of Corsair products can be sure that their peripherals will support Microsoft's Xbox One series consoles, opening up a new market for Corsair while enabling Xbox One users to purchase products from the brand with the promise of full support on the platform. At this time it is unknown when Corsair's RGB lighting system will be supported on the Xbox One. We already know that addressable RGB illumination will eventually be supported on Xbox with Razer products, it is likely that Corsair will also support this functionality in time.
CORSAIR is proud to be Microsoft's newest Xbox licensed hardware partner and is excited that the Xbox One team has opened up support for keyboards and mice. Xbox One players now have at their disposal the same precision and reliability that PC gamers have enjoyed from CORSAIR peripherals for years. CORSAIR is working to ensure a great experience on Xbox One and looks forward to collaborating with the Xbox team to deliver even more compatible peripherals in the future.
In addition to partnering with the Xbox team, CORSAIR is committed to working more closely with Microsoft on numerous other initiatives including Mixer, Microsoft's next-generation interactive livestreaming service. Through Elgato, CORSAIR's subsidiary brand for content creators, Mixer broadcasters will be empowered to improve their streams through integration with the powerful and versatile Elgato Stream Deck, along with other exciting initiatives currently in development.
Moving forward, Xbox and Corsair plan to work together on several initiatives, which includes adding extra support for Microsoft's Mixer Game Streaming service through Elgato, thanks to Mixer integrations to Elgato's Stream Deck and other future products.
