Cooler Master expands into streaming accessories with their new Stream product line

Cooler Master is expanding, and streaming is one of the company’s many new product categories

Back in November we reported on the opening of Cooler Master’s new headquarters in Taipei Taiwan, a move for Cooler Master that was designed to allow the PC hardware giant to expand into new markets and enter new product categories. At CES 2023, we are now getting to see what Cooler Master has up their sleeves, and new streaming products is just the start.

At CES 2023, Cooler Master has revealed their new Stream lineup of peripherals, introducing their new Stream Lux panel light, their Stream Lucid Microphone, and their Stream Origins Capture card. These products are the beginnings of a new product category for Cooler Master, which we fully expect to expand over time to cover more and more use cases.

First off, we have the Stream Lux full-spectrum LED light, an adjustable accent light that can be controlled using the light’s three dials manually, or be controlled using WIFI or Bluetooth connectivity. These dials can be used to control the lights brightness and colour temperature. The light also features a magnetic frame that can be used to fit filters, and features a threaded mount that can be used to attach the light to tri-pods or other lighting stands.

The Stream Lux is a full-spectrum LED light that provides proper lighting for anyone on-camera. Ideal for streamers, gamers, content creators and remote workers, it’s calibrated to be as natural looking as possible.

Next up we have the Steam Lucid, as USB-C Condenser Microphone that is compatible with PCs, Macs, and consoles. The microphone appears to feature a tap-to-mute sensor, feature RGB lighting, and feature a 3.5-inch audio jack for audio monitoring. The microphone also appears to have an adjustable audio gain knob.

The Stream Lucid is a USB-C mic that enables clear, high-quality audio for livestreams, video and audio recording. A built-in filter reduces popping and static, while USB-C connectivity ensures plug-and-play capability with virtually all PCs, Macs and consoles.

Lastly, we have Cooler Master’s Stream Origins USB capture card, which is said to support 4K 60 FPS recording. This should mean that the Stream Origins capture card is limited to HDMI 2.0 recording and pass-through, which means that this capture card will not be able to record the 4K 120Hz output that modern consoles/TVs support.

The Stream Origins records your greatest gaming victories with supreme ease. Simple USB connection to a PC or Mac enables instant plug-and-play capture capabilities with every next-gen console, recording up to 4K 60fps HDR.

Cooler Master is expanding beyond the PC case, cooling and accessories markets to cover a broader segments of the overall PC market. That means that we should be seeing a lot of new products from Cooler Master over the coming years, and see a lot of competition for existing streaming giants like Elgato.

We look forward to seeing what Cooler Master has cooking, and we will be talking a lot more about Cooler Master’s CES announcements over the coming days.
