Whatever way you look at it, the stock AMD R9 295X2 has two major shortcomings. Its AIO watercooler has limited radiator placement options due to limited/ fixed tubing length, either being to short or two long in most cases, and it's overly thin radiator can get very hot under full load.

Visiontek here say you should not compromise, giving you the benefits of full on water cooling, with enough hose for almost any thinkable configuration and a large enough radiator to settle any of your thermal fears.

Visiontek have also made this card single slot, allowing owners to have the ability to use it if they require, but given that many motherboards now have a PCI lane missing in this location, so this gain can be considered limited.

Lets be honest here, this is simply a Stock R9 295X2 with a pre-fitted waterblock, this custom cooled card does not have a beefed up PCB or power circuitry like other non-stock dual 290X GPUs... "cough" Powercolor Devil 13 "cough".

That aside, we do get the benefits of a watercooling warranty, as the block is stock. Users will not need to void their warranties removing the stock R9 295X2 cooler, an obvious plus. Another plus is that what we have here is a fully expandable water cooling loop which comes with the card, which for the price of $1,750 is not much, if any, more expensive than buying the Stock GPU and water cooling kit separately.

Obviously with water cooling we gain the benefit of lower temperatures, particularly on the VRM or other Air cooler components on the stock card. These thermal advantages could extend the life of this GPU.

The only disadvantage of this card in reality is the effort required to set up a water cooling loop. This card isn't as plug and play as normal Air cooled or AIO cooled GPUs.

So if your looking for a liquid cooled, top of the line, GPU try this. You pretty much can't build a comparable single slot, liquid cooled 295X2 that would cost less than the CryoVenom 295X2. That cost doesn’t even factor in your assembly time/effort, shipping time/cost, and likely voiding the factory warranty.

If I had lotto money, I can see this being part of a really cool build. Say over the top mITX build in a Caselabs case.

Hmmm -- I guess its OK to dream!!!
