PowerColor has today announced the retail availability of their Devil Box Thunderbolt GPU enclosure, which will allow those with a compatible PC to be able to connect to and use an external GPU for work or gaming tasks.   

This allows users of standard notebooks to use their laptop as a gaming machine when connected to an external GPU, allowing a PC to be highly portable and deliver a lot of gaming performance when needed.   

The Devil Box will be able to provide up to 375W of power and support GPUs that are up to 310mm in length. This enclosure will also be able to connect gigabit ethernet to your connected PC as well as 4 USB 3.0 ports.  

 

PowerColor's Devil Box external GPU enclosure is now available to purchase   

This enclosure uses XConnect technology, which was developed by AMD in collaboration with Intel and Razer, which supports both modern AMD and Nvidia GPUs. This enclosure will be available at the following retailers later today for the price of $379 in the US and €419 in the EU.
