Nvidia's GTX 1050 is rumoured to launch in late October

Nvidia's GTX 1050 is rumoured to launch in late October, bringing Pascal to consumers at mainstream prices.

Specifications for Nvidia's GTX 1050 have recently leaked online, offering 768 GPU cores and 4GB of GDDR5 memory, offering the same number of GPU cores as their Maxwell powered GTX 950 but much higher GPU clock speeds.

At this time it is unknown if this GPU will use a cut-down version of Nvidia's GP106 GPU core or an all new GPU core design (GP107?). It is expected that this GPU will have a TDP of under 75W, allowing this GPU to be powered without any 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe power connections.

Right now it is rumoured that the GTX 1050 will launch in October and offer 4GB or GDDR5 memory at 7GHz on a 128-bit bus, which gives this GPU a huge decrease in memory bandwidth when compared to Nvidia's GTX 1060.

4gb. So this may actually be of more use to some one than the 3gb 1060.

I really like my little 950. Will kick ass in Linux too, and if I feel like it I can run the odd Steam game Quote
