Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU Cooler Shroud Leaked?

Alleged pictures of the GPU cooler shroud of Nvidia's upcoming GTX 1080 GPU have been Leaked onto the web, showing a new and more angular GPU cooler design.

Right now we have no confirmation from Nvidia what the naming scheme of their new Pascal GPUs will be, or what the new GPUs will look like, but right now the majority of rumors are calling Nvidia's upcoming GPU the GTX 1080. Personally, I do not like the idea of Nvidia calling a GPU the GTX 1080, given how popular the gaming resolution of 1080p is and the potential confusion that this may cause to some PC gamers.

It seems very likely that Nvidia would be changing the designs of their reference GPU cooler, as Nvidia's current reference cooler design has gone largely unchanged since the release of the original GTX Titan in 2013, with the cooler being used for both the GTX 700 series and GTX 900 series of GPUs with only minor aesthetic changes.

Right now I would take any rumors regarding both AMD and Nvidia's upcoming GPUs with a pinch of salt, as at this time nothing is confirmed regarding the performance and specifications of these GPUs so far.

Personally i think it looks to have a face only a mother could love, and even then she would have to be high on crack.

Nvidia seems to have followed XFX's work ruining their cooler shrouds with triangles.Quote

Heh i wonder if Nvidia is going to put Blackplates on this Gen.Quote

Not just you, it looks ridiculous. Works alright if you want your PC to look like a transformer or something like that. If anything they should make the reference cooler sleek, kinda like the Fury X and Fury NanoQuote

Nahh, don't like it at all... Looks too much "blingy" in my opinion. Sleek designs is what it's all about!Quote
