MSI shows mobile VR leadership at Computex 2016, with the world's first VR certified Laptops and a full on VR ready gaming backpack PC. 

MSI is the first brand to offer fully Certified VR ready gaming Laptops and notebooks, which have been validated by both HTC's Vive division and Intel. These Laptops have a minimum of and Intel i7 Skylake CPU and GTX 980M GPUs, with higher end models having Desktop grade GTX 980 GPUs in SLI. 

These new gaming laptops contain a desktop grade GTX 980 GPU and intel i7 Skylake CPU, with the MSI GT80S 6QF offering the full unthrottled performance of dual GTX 980 GPUs in SLI, offering unrivaled mobile gaming performance. All of these laptops also offer RGB illuminated keyboards and screen resolutions of 1080p or 4K.

MSI have also been diving deeply into truly mobile VR, offering a full gaming PC inside a loptop form factor, allowing gamers to play VR games untethered. 

This VR gaming backpack weights less around 5Kg and contains an Intel i7 Skylake CPU and a desktop GTX 980GPU, with an anboard battery that can power the backpack for over 90 minutes. This is a prototype design that MSI say that they will be updating to a GTX 1080 before release, as well as offering user replacable batteries and the ability to upgrade the hardware inside.  

This product's price and availability are unknown right now, but MSI does state that they may release this portable gaming PC before Christmas.

It is great to see MSI not only provide hardware that is powerful enough for the task, but also seek the expert advice and product validation from Intel and HTC in order to ensure that their hardware can deliver the optimal VR gaming experience.
