MSI reveals their Optix AG32CQ 32-inch 144Hz 1440p FreeSync monitor

MSI entered into the gaming monitor market last year, delivering a range of new FreeSync offerings that delivered high refresh rates and panel sizes of up to 32-inches.

The only problem MSI's previously released 32-inch offering was its resolutions, supporting 1080p at 165Hz, a resolution which many PC gamers claimed was too low for modern titles, giving MSI the perfect reason to create a 1440p variant for large-screen, high resolutions, blazing fast refresh rate gaming.

MSI's latest gaming monitor is their new Optix AG32CQ, a 31-5-inch 2560x1440 (1440p) monitor with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz which makes use of a VA panel with a listed 1ms response time. This display also touts support for AMD's FreeSYnc technology, with MSI listing no form of HDR support.

The display itself will offer gamers a 1800R curvature alongside 85% NTSC colour gamut overage and 110% SRGB coverage, providing users with more realistic colour reproduction than some competing displays.

Input-wise MSI's Optix AG32CQ supports HDMI 2.0, DVI-D and DisplayPort 1.2, at this time it is unknown whether or not MSI supports FreeSync over HDMI or just FreeSync over DisplayPort. The Optix AG32CQ also seems to have two sets to LEDs on the back of the display, though at this time it is unknown if or how these LEDs can be controlled.
