Did you ever wish that your 4K monitor was a little wider? No? Well, MSI has! At Computex 2019 MSI has showcased their 34-inch Prestige PS341WU, a professional-grade monitor that offers a resolution of 5120×2160, otherwise known as 5Kx2K.

So what’s special about this screen? Outside of its resolution it is a DisplayHDR 600 display, offers 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a DetlaE calibration value of under 3, making the screen ideal for professional use. The unit itself also uses a nanoIPS screen and supports a 4-way picture-by-picture mode, which basically turns this screen into four 2560×1080 monitors.

Users of this monitor can switch between two colour modes, and AdobeRGB mode, which offers 92-93% colour coverage, or an sRGB mode, with these modes being switchable via the screen’s OSD or via a button on the rear of the display.

Pricing-wise, MSI’s PS341WU is set to cost $1299 and release in Q3 2019.
