MSI Launches their Ultrawide 5K Prestige PS341WU Display

Over the past few years, MSI has really upped their game in the world of monitors, delivering higher-end displays on their notebooks while also offering dedicated desktop screens to suit the needs of both gamers and workstation users.

MSI has revealed a monitor which is unlike anything else that we have seen on the market, offering an ultrawide screen which offers the 21:9 aspect ratio that productivity purists love while also packing a 5K horizontal resolution. Meet the MSI Prestige PS341WU monitor, a 34-inch 5120×2160 behemoth.

Panel-wise the PS342WU uses an LG Nano IPS screen, delivering 98% coverage of a DCI-P3 colour space and a 60Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports HDMI, DisplayPort and USB Type-C inputs. The monitor also offers three USB 3.1 ports for connectivity and connects to a PC using USB 3.1 Type-B.

The Prestige PS341WU is set to release in June/July with a price tag of $1,799. At this time it is unknown if this display supports HDR or meets and HDR standards.
