Since the start 2017, we have seen a lot of new HDR ready displays, with events like CES being filled with HDR displays and even HDR enabled G-Sync and FreeSync monitors.

The big question that is on many consumers minds have been how much will these new displays cost and when will see these displays hit the market? Today we now have our first FreeSync HDR10 display, though sadly this display is not FreeSync 2, which means that it likely lacks support for FreeSync LFC (Low Framerate Compensation).

LG's new 32UD99-W 4K HDR10 FreeSync display is now available to pre-order at Overclockers UK for £959.99, making this the first HDR10 FreeSync (Not FreeSync 2) display to hit the market in the UK.

The LG 32UD99-W will use an IPS panel and will support 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space, making this one of the most accurate monitors available for professional use and capable od displaying HDR content from both PCs and modern consoles.

This display supports the HDR10 standard, offering enhanced brightness levels and a ultra-wide colour gamut range, making this display ideal for image/video editing and viewing HDR ready media. The 32UD99 also support USB type-c, which can be used to display 4K content, charge a connected device and transfer data at the same time, making this a very handy display if you occasionally connect a laptop to it.

At the price of £959, this display is actually quite affordable for a professional-grade 4K display of this size, offering both a high resolution and a screen size that is suitable for use with minimal display scaling.

At this time it is expected that this display will have a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz, though LG has already confirmed that this display will support AMD's FreeSync technology. Right now this display's FreeSync Range has not been confirmed.

See now that is a sexy looking monitor. And guess what? No RGBs!

Since this does support FS, I would at the very least hope it's 30-60hz.Quote
