Gigabyte announces their GTX 1080 TT GPU

Gigabyte has announced their new GTX 1080 TT GPU, offering a similar design to the GTX 1080 Founders Edition GPU with a more affordable price tag.

This new GPU will come with a blower style cooler that is similar in design to Nvidia's reference Founders Edition cooler, Gigabyte calls this design the Windforce Turbo, with the coolers external shroud having a design aesthetic that is reminiscent of Gigabyte's Xtreme Gaming GPU lineup.

Gigabyte's GTX 1080 TT will have a three 6mm copper heatpipes to cool the GPU core and the GPU itself will have a factory overclock of 1657MHz base and 1797MHz boost if used with Gigabyte's OC mode on their OC GURU utility. The GDDR5X memory of this GPU will be clocked at the GTX 1080's reference speeds of 10,000MHz. This GPU will be powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power connector.

Gigabyte has not announced the official pricing of this GPU, though it is expected to undercut the pricing of Nvidia's GTX 1080 Founders Editions due to this GPUs less premium cooling design.
