Today Forza Motorsport 6: Apex has exited its beta stage on Windows 10, adding steering wheel support to this DirectX 12 racing game. The game will remain free to play and the developers have confirmed that Forza Horizon 3 will support steering wheels at launch.
By adding wheel support to Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, we continue to work towards our goal of improving the Apex experience for players and making racing better on Windows 10. We recognize that today’s content update is just the beginning of that journey. As has been the case with Apex since the beginning, we welcome player feedback around the wheel implementation in the game.
With today’s update, Microsoft will be bringing support for the following wheels to the Forza franchise on PC, including both Forza Motorsport 6: Apex and Forza Horizons 3.
- - Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
- - Logitech G25 Racing Wheel
- - Logitech G29 Racing Wheel
- - Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel
- - Thrustmaster T300RS
- - Thrustmaster T500 RS Gaming Wheel
- - Logitech G920 Xbox One Wheel
- - Thrustmaster T150
- - Thrustmaster TX Xbox One Wheel
- - Thrustmaster TMX Xbox One Wheel
- - Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel
The developers plan on implementing support for Fanatec wheels and other steering wheels in the near future.

I'm glad they added wheel support. It seems crazy to contemplate releasing a driving game without it.Quote
