EVGA denies rumours that they will be releasing a Vega GPU

This means that EVGA will not be moving to support AMD platforms, instead, continuing to support Nvidia on the GPU front and Intel on the motherboard side. While the option is open to EVGA to create hardware for AMD platforms, it seems that AMD does not have the market share to make such a move worthwhile for the company. 

 

 

Many will remember when XFX was a Nvidia Add-in-board partner, who then moved to become AMD exclusive in 2010 after a longtime dispute with their primary AIB partner. Since then AMD has lost a lot of their market share in the GPU market, which has significantly harmed XFX brand reputation over time. 

It seems that EVGA does not want to make any risky moves and will continue to back the current leader of the GP market, which is certainly a smart move from a business perspective.
