Total War: Warhammer - Realm of the Wood

Creative Assembly has announced their new Total War: Warhammer - Realm of the Wood expansion, bringing the Elven race to the game and adding a whole new campaign map with a dedicated  ‘Season of Revelations’ Wood Elves story Campaign.
The Wood Elves will be a unique race in Total War Warhammer, being able to conquer any region on the map, utilise their own Race-specific currency called Amber and fight with a unique and varied army roster.
Like all races in Total War: Warhammer the Elves will play differently to every other faction, adding an additional layer to the game when fighting both as or against the race on the Campaign map and Battlefield.

To outsiders, the forest realm of Athel Loren is a brooding and malicious place. The creak and groan of living wood echoes from its dim interior, the canopy seems to absorb all light, and half-seen spirits dart between the twilit bowers. To enter is to place your fate in their hands…

Below is the expansion's official announcement trailer, though Creative Assembly does plan to release gameplay footage for the expansion as its release draws closer.

Elves will also be given a new "Wonder" victory condition, though right now the exact mechanics of this victory condition is unknown.

The Realm of the Woods Expansion for Total War Warhammer will release on December 8th for £13.99, though the DLC will have a 10% price reduction if purchased before launch.
