It has been a while since Cooler Master was just about Cooling. What started as a provider of OEM cooling solutions quickly became something more, with the company expanding to incorporate PC cases, power supplies, and a host of other PC accessories. Now, Cooler Master is ready to enter the display market, starting with their GM34-CW.

Previously, Cooler Master called this screen the GM219-35, but since then, Cooler Master has changed its mind when it comes to branding. As the name implies, the GM34-CW is a Gaming Monitor that measures in at 34-inches and comes with a curved ultrawide screen. We need only look at monitors such as ACER's VG270bmiix to appreciate Cooler Master's clear naming scheme.

The GM34-CW will ship with a VA Quantum Dot panel with a 1500R curvature and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen offers users a 3440x1440 screen resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio, a 1ms response time and HDR support (400 nits of peak brightness). This screen ships with FreeSync 2 support, which means that this monitor meets AMD's display certification requirements, which calls for low display latencies and Variable Refresh Rate support that's wide enough to enable Low Framerate Compensation on Radeon graphics cards.

Cooler Master's GM34-CW will feature support for dual DisplayPort inputs and dual HDMI inputs, all of which offer HDR10 support. This screen also features dual 3W speakers and an earphone out. Strangely, this screen features built-in purple lighting on the rear of the monitor, which can be set to steady or blinking light modes. These lights aren't RGB, limiting the screen's customisability.

The stock stand of this displays features swivel, height and tilt adjustment options, though this stand can be replaced with any VESA 75x75mm monitor arm if necessary.

Cooler Master plans to ship its GM34-CW with a 2-year warranty. At this time, the pricing and release date of Cooler Master's GM34-CW are unknown.
