Batman: Arkham Knight Interim Patch Detailed

Batman: Arkham Knight on PC was a terrible game at launch, suffering from a mountain if issues including random crashes, visual downgrades when compared to console versions, missing features and a myriad of performance issues.

Details of Batman: Arkham Knight's Interim Patch on PC have just been revealed. Expect reduced hitching, higher resolution textures, the ability to change your max FPS. Lets hope this is as good as it sounds.

Batman: Arkham Knight Framerate Unlock & Tweak Guide

To start off with the game should be much easier to run on more modest hardware, with optimized VRAM and system memory usage, reduced framerate hitching and fixes which allow the game to be played on a mechanical hard drive without a severe framerate and technical issues.

The full fix list is below:

  • - Reduced frame rate hitches
  • - Optimized system memory and VRAM usage
  • - Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
  • - Min Spec AMD GPU is once again the Radeon HD 7870 2GB
  • - More Robust In-Game Settings, including:
  • - Added the ability to change settings for Max FPS to 30/60/90
  • - Added toggles for Motion Blur, Chromatic Aberration, and Film Grain
  • - Added a “High” Texture Resolution value
  • - Added Texture Filtering option
  • - Added an Adaptive V-Sync option (NVIDIA only)
  • - Added VRAM Usage Meter
  • - Added Mouse Sensitivity Slider & Mouse Smoothing Option
  • - Fixed low resolution texture bugs
  • - Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)

This patch is currently being tested by Warner Bros and Rocksteady and it should be available to consumers within the next few weeks.

Reduced frame rate hitches instead of Fixed frame rate hitches is rather worrisome.Quote
