AMD RX Vega reference GPU design leaked

Images of AMD’s RX Vega reference design have been leaked, showcasing a GPU with a white backplate and a red Radeon Vega logo.

These leaks come from Chiphell, who got to see the below images at the Beijing Technology summit, showcasing a GPU which has a cooler design that is reminiscent of their R9 Fury X and RX 480 but comes with a white colour scheme.

Sadly not many details can be gleaned from these images, but we can see that AMD’s RX Vega is powered by two PCIe power connections (likely 2x 8-pin or 1x 8-pin 1×6-pin).

Looking at these two images we can see that the RX Vega is a standard length GPU, unlike the ultra-short R9 Fury X, which came with a short PCB and water cooling.

From these images, we cannot tell if this new GPU will be air cooled or water cooled like the R9 Fury X, though an air cooled design seems likely given this GPU’s length.

If AMD has already created promotional materials like this for the RX Vega, we can assume that the GPU is well into production and is slated for release relatively soon, provided that these leaks prove to be legitimate.
