AMD lowers price of the R9 295X2 by 33%

Starting this week the AMD Radeon R9 295X2 graphics cards with dual Hawaii graphics processors with a combined 8GB of GDDR5 memory will be available for $999 in the U.S., down from $1499 originally. Prices in the UK have dropped to around £1000, which is a much lesser decrease but still better value than before. It is unknown if the UK and EU prices will decrease further.

The discount price of the Radeon R9 295X2 dramatically increased the value of the graphics card since it makes the card much more comparable with two Radeon R9 290X graphics boards price wise. Still, it should be kept in mind that not all PC cases and PSUs are compatible with the Radeon R9 295X2 graphics boards.

OCUK are trying to get them in for £600 but it doesn't look like it is going to happen, more like £700-£800.

£600 would be a bargain though.Quote
