Watch Intel's "Fall Desktop Launch Event" here

In less than half an hour, Intel plans to livestream their "Fall Desktop Launch Event", the place where the company is expected to showcase their next generation of desktop processors. This stream will start at 3 PM UK time.

At this time Intel has not made clear what they plan to showcase at this event, aside from the fact that it is a new range of desktop processors. However, if you have kept up with recent rumours, you will likely know what to expect from this launch event.

We will replace this live stream with a video archive once the event is over.

Starting at 10 a.m. EDT/7 a.m. PDT Monday, Oct. 8, Intel will kick off its Fall Desktop Launch Event in New York City.

You are invited to join our livestream as Intel’s Anand Srivatsa, vice president and general manager in the Client Computing Group, delivers the keynote and invites special guests on stage. Tune in and learn about Intel’s next line of desktop processors for gaming, content creation and high-end PCs.

This is what 1st gen Coffee Lake should have originally been but they had to rush out those 6 cores to compete with AMD Ryzen Quote

Soooo. that was very short and sweet, I feel like the workstation stuff was the only surprise and no indication of price or launch dates on the 9900k etc.

wtf Intel?

Also they made claims like "faster in x amount of the top games than competitors" but showed no charts or data whatsoever.

I understand marketing.. hell I work in marketing but this is just waffle with no substance!Quote

It's a bit odd that they stated "1st mainstream 8 core 16 thread CPU" completely discounting Ryzen 1st and 2nd gen, I hope people pick up on that and call them out for it.Quote
