AMD Computex 2018 press conference is about to start, live streaming on AMD's YouTube channel, on June 5th at 9 PM Central Time. Sadly, this event will be held at 3 AM on June 6th in UK time, an uncomfortable time for most UK watchers.

At Computex, AMD is expected to release their B450 chipset for Ryzen 2nd Generation processors alongside new Ryzen 5 and 3 SKUs, potentially updating their fans on their progress with Threadripper Second Generation and their plans for the mobile market. At this time it is unknown whether or not AMD has anything new planned on the Radeon side.

AMD has previously revealed a Vega Mobile, a chip that was showcased at CES 2018 with what appeared to be a single HBM2 memory ship. At this time not much is known about this new mobile-oriented Vega chip, aside from the fact that AMD advertised it as low power and VR ready. It is possible that Vega mobile will be showcased at Computex as part of AMD's mobile push.

They are most likely going to be talking about a 32 core Threadripper 2 CPU.

All the cooling companies are talking about the power specifications AMD gave them. A 40% increase over the 180w TR1 CPU. So 250watts. A 70watt increase. Definitely going to compete with a 28 core Intel CPU..Quote
