MSI teases their future Z270 motherboards

MSI has teased their two of their upcoming Z270 motherboards, coming with steel reinforced parts, dual M.2 slots and a sexy black aesthetic.

The two motherboards shown below are MSI's upcoming Z270 Pro Series SLI Plus and SLI series motherboards, both of which support two M.2 SSD devices, use MSI's reinforced PCIe 16x slots and a clean aesthetic.

The higher end SLI Pro will come with MSI's Steel Armor, which will as additional steel highlights to the motherboard as well as reinforced DDR4 memory slots and might bring steel reinforced M.2 slots (hard to tell in the picture).

Both of these new motherboards will come in an ATX form factor and feature similar specifications, from what we can see in the above image. Both motherboards will feature six SATA ports, two USB 3.0 headers and MSI's new RGB "Mystic Light" lighting on their audio panel.

MSI has also recently teased their M.2 Shield, which MSI's upcoming LGA 1151 Gaming motherboards to cool their hot M.2 devices. Right now it looks like this new accessory will not be coming with MSI's new Z270 Pro series motherboards, though MSI may surprise us by including it.

What do you need a steel reinforced motherboard for? I'm not going to take my PC rallying.
Looks good though, except for the southbridge heatsink on the SLI Plus, not sure about that one.Quote
