MSI's Z370 motherboards are "Optimized for Intel 9000 processors"

Intel's upcoming 9000-series of Coffee Lake-S Refresh processors are perhaps the worst kept secret in the industry, with rumours of eight-core Coffee Lake processors and a Z390 chipset extending before the initial release of Coffee Lake in late 2017.

Lots of information is already available for Intel's 9000 series processors, though now MSI has given us an answer to the question that has been on our lips since 2017. Will Z370 motherboards support Intel's 9000 series processors?

MSI has been careful not to list Intel's upcoming 8-core processors in their news post, though they have confirmed that their Z370 series motherboards now offer support for 9000-series Intel processors, owing thanks to a collection of new BIOS updates. All of these BIOS updates are available on each motherboard's support page, though the table below lists the BIOS name and the motherboards that it can be applied to.
