MSI previews a range of 'Next Generation' Intel motherboards

MSI has officially showcased a large number of "Next Generation" motherboard designs, including new Godlike, ACE, Gaming Pro Carbon AC and EDGE models.

To prevent any potential NDA breaking, MSI has hidden all of the chipset references on the boxes of the upcoming motherboards, though judging from the motherboard themselves we are clearly looking at new Intel LGA 1151 products.

Intel is rumoured to officially reveal their Z390 motherboard chipset within the next week, with hardware leaks confirming that MSI has both MEG Z390 ACE and MEG Z390 GODLIKE series motherboards in the works.

The stream archive below starts at around the 26-minute mark, after which MSI discusses each of their new motherboard designs in depth. Expect plenty of PR technobabble and lots of hype surrounding RGB LEDs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but although we know, they know and everybody knows the 9 series is dropping imminently. Isn't it odd for MoBo manufacturers to be in full marketing mode about Z390 before the processors have even officially been launched?Quote

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the, 390 chip set is backward compatible with 8th gen processor too. Could explain why there not holding back on launch for the 9th genQuote
