Intel Kaby Lake CPU pricing leak

The pricing for Intel's Kaby lake CPUs has been leaked, with the i7 7700K costing $349 and the i5 7600K costing $239. These prices are not much higher than Intel's currently available Skylake CPU counterparts, which means that PC builders should not expect much of a price increase.

Sadly for the UK recent exchange rate changes will increase the price of Kaby lake when compared to Skylake, though this change in pricing cannot be blamed solely on Intel. In recent months companies like Apple, Dell Lenovo and several other PC manufacturers have already increased their UK pricing, making UK pricing very similar to US pricing.

i5 7600K4/43.891W$239
i5 76004/43.565W$219
i5 75004/43.465W$199
i5 74004/43.065W$189

Kaby Lake is not expected to be a major architectural improvement over Intel's existing Skylake CPUs, with the majority of the new processors' performance benefits coming from Kaby Lake's enhanced clock speeds, rather than IPC improvements.

Intel's Kaby lake CPUs will be compatible with Intel's existing LGA 1151 motherboards, allowing Skylake users to easily upgrade to Intel's latest CPU architecture.

Right now Intel's Kaby Lake CPUs are expected to launch in Q1 2017, though at this time Intel has not confirmed any release dates or timeframes.

While you may think that is correct. It is not. It's never 100% accurate and does not take into account taxes.

Should be used to it by now. Intel is an American based company. It's natural for them to talk in $. And take into account this is rumors still, not even official.Quote
